His straightforward 'take the bull by the horns' approach towards music and performing has kept Jelo amongst the top echelons of DJs in Canada. His style of presentation is unique and bridges the gap between audience and performer. Jelo becomes one with the audience and uses his uncanny abilities to read a floor, any floor, regardless of where he is. A distinct irony is still exisitng regarding Jelo; for a DJ who is 'too hard' or 'too techno' or 'too different' his schedule has him busier, more in demand and more influential than the regular 'jocks' of his city. Jelo brought about this awareness of 'new' music that is often refered to as 'banging house, electro, electro house and techno' to be a fashionable asset. While most succumbed to whatever was popular at the time, Jelo stayed true and still walks his own path. He was the first DJ in the Toronto clubs to usher in Speed Garage, Hard House, Nu Skool sounds and never sticking to one genre. Jelo was constantly mashing things up. An innovator of moving sounds, even Eye Magazine awarded him the prestigious "most innovative DJ' award in their yearly DJ pools. Incorporating the spiciest elements of house, techno, breaks and rock blended with wild mixing abilities gives this DJ the distinction of all-around artist, entertainer, and performer. To Experience a Jelo show is to understand how the medium of Dance-based Electronic music can be a performance. Jelo is a musical performer who can make a full blown arena feel small. Jeff Renton and Ray Starr saw this and quickly grabbed Jelo to represent their label Bugeyed Records as their An'R. In doing so this has allowed many to experience a decidedly different bent of Electronic Dance Music to a growing number of acolytes. Jelo is No stranger to travel and has dazzled thousands in Greece, England, Dubai, Taiwan, Coast to Coast in the USA and every major urban centre in his home country of Canada. There is not one venue that can resist Jelo, big or small, at anytime, anywhere. This is something Jelo continually proves during every performance.
In a time when electronic music was stale in clubs, Jelo was one of the more influential staples in bringing tough, funky, energy charged beats into nightclubs across Canada. He literally Lead the way for other DJs to follow and set an example of what can be done in clubs, commercial or otherwise as a DJ. Never one to rest on his laurels, Jelo records for labels like BugeyedRecords.com, 2Wars.com, Promo, Universal, Geffen, Chris Smith Management, Free Records and Eden Recordings. His powerful diverse musical style has been licensed to DJs Skribble, Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude and John Aquaviva, Josh Da Funky, Club Land Compilations and Summer hits 2006, Yahoo Ringtones and more; Releasing his own authentic mixes such as 'Jelo Live @ System' his latest mix album installment soon joining "Jelo: Live Mix"(Canada's very first LIVE electronic music recording for retail) and "Scarlem Sessions" at major retailers everywhere. In the studio, combined with super producers The Commercial State AKA Jelo 1&2 AKA J.LaMagna and R.Kondrat the newest and best of the Jelo sound has been realized. Jelo has remixed Pop music sensations like Nelly Furtado, Divine Brown and Tamia... Jelo faces the never-ending battle of searching for sounds that together result in musical synergy which keeps his DJ schedule busy and their production in high demand. Promoters everywhere know that when your dancefloor needs rescuing, DJ Jelo is the one to call on.
Always maintaining the underground cool and respect of his peers Jelo refuses to compromise his musical principles. He exudes the authenticity of someone truly involved in a rhythmical love affair with music. Jelo's knowledge of artists and record labels is surpassed only by his natural drive to spread the joy these sounds has brought him. Always learning and always improving, the future for Jelo is guided by an awesome natural intensity, an astonishing musical dedication and a drive to change the world- one beat at a time.

Jardo(Electro Tech House / Minimal Techno) Regina, SK
Throughout the 6 years he has been DJing in the Queen City, Jardo` has played everything from
progressive trance to deep and dark tribal techno. In that span of over half a decade, he has sacrificed his DJing time to learn the art of music production in which he has successfully released his own blend of minimal house and techno on such netlabels as Montreal-based Phoniq and Saskatchewan-based Mmmph on which another release is shortly due. Now, after isolating himself from the Regina electronic music scene for almost 2 years, Jardo` is looking to bounce back and (re)establish himself as one of Regina's prominent techno DJs. However, this time around, things have changed.
For this Thursday night at Gabbos, expect an unvieling of something new from Jardo`: A blend of the highest quality electro house and minimal techno beats; evenly roasted and carefully ground to produce a tech-ish sound of exceptional strength, body and aroma. Refrigerate after opening.

Myagi (breaks) Toronto, Ontario
Myagi aka Sole Claw aka Andrew Mavor has rapidly become a major part of North America’s contribution to breakbeat. Hailing from Canada, he has, in the last year, played the vast majority of the world and has become touted as the next major North American breaks don.
His releases and remixes are in constant demand, as shown by a relentlessly expanding discography which boasts variations and a range of styles most producers could only dream of pulling off…
From his first record in 2001, the Myagi sound has grown and expanded with the breaks scene, all the while retaining its independence and unpredictability. Initially eschewing the nu skool sound in favor of funk, and then pushing in a deeper direction once the inevitable pigeon holing began, Myagi has remained fresh within the scene as a whole, not a step behind or ahead of anyone else, but in fact pursuing something different, fusing many sounds into a high energy dancefloor assault.
He has played sets on the BBC, the CBC and Crystal Method's Community Service, landed a standout track on the Plump DJ's Saturday Night Lotion, and recently did an extremely well received exclusive mix album for www.djdownload.com on behalf of breaks labels West And Splank.
In both the studio and in the club, Mavor has become renowned for his seamless maneuvering between hip hop based funky breaks and nu skool, house and techy big rooms tunes. Myagi’s live sets have been described as innovative, relentlessly funky and ludicrously fun, and have led to a devoted fan base in all corners of the globe.

Miss Innocent
Originally from Vancouver Canada but now living in Graz Austria, Colleen first got involved in the electronic music scene back in 96/97 from such influences as Front 242, Depeche Mode and New Order. She then became acquainted with the art of spinning through DJ Dr Phreak and in the fall of '97 she helped him run the 1409 Afterhours. It became quite popular in the Vancouver underground as they were able to host such djs as Mike Huckaby and David Alvarado. She then took up djing in 1999.
Since then Colleen has built up a solid reputation for her dj skills with her unique blend of techno, tech-trance and acid techno and this has enabled her to be billed with mainstay artists such as Claude Young, Technasia, Chris Liberator, DAVE the Drummer, Massimo, Dean Rodell, Renato Cohen, Jay Denham, British Murder Boys, James Ruskin, Pacou Asuna and Billy Nasty. She has also had the opportunity to play at some of the biggest venues and events around the world (Hifi Bar-Australia, Warehouse-Calgary Canada, Sonar-Vancouver Canada, Ray Junior-Montreal Canada, Club Extravaganza-Croatia, Stereodrome-Slovakia, Supalova Club-Slovakia, Eternity-Czech Rep, Fabric-Czech Rep, Cosmic Trip Festival-Czech Rep, Sun City-Austria, Obsession Festival-Austria, Cazin Club-Austria, Kuca Club-Serbia, Euforia Club-Trieste Italy, Stuk-Slovenia, The Zoo-Belgium).
Colleen worked with the Soundproof Crew from 98-03, a group which is responsible for building up the underground party scene on the Canadian Westcoast by putting on quality events that cater mostly towards the harder techno and trance genres. However, near the end of 2003 she decided to relocate to Graz Austria to focus more on production and djing. She is currently working on producing her own music, has done collaboration work with Dean Rodell under the alias, Counterpart and worked with Lori the Hifi Princess. In 2005 Colleen was helping run the Unknown Forces and Drumworks record labels, which are based out of the UK, with Dean Rodell and they also started up the Subdivision Booking Agency but this project came to an end in September. As well, Colleen writes a monthly column for the Australian based electronic music website, 12AM.com.au, and this features dj interviews and event reviews/pictures.
Worldwide she has played in: Canada, USA, Australia, Slovenia, Ireland, Croatia, Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Hungary, Italy, Belgium, England
